Counselling and psychotherapy in north Leeds

Jodie Morrison, counsellor and psychotherapist at Cedarwood Therapy, Adel Leeds

Hi, I’m Jodie

I'm a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist based in Adel, north Leeds. I have always loved working with people and helping them to learn, change, and grow.

I'm particularly interested in how our minds and bodies are connected - the neuroscience of stress, how we get stuck, and what can help us move forward. I often work with people to identify their values: what matters to them, and how they can move towards that, even when things are hard. I try to bring the same warmth, honesty, and curiosity to my work that I'd want from a therapist myself.

Is this right for me?

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Maybe you’re going through something difficult; feeling anxious, overwhelmed or burnt out. Maybe you’re feeling a little lost or stuck. Or maybe you're just aware that something isn't working. You don't have to have it all figured out. Get in touch and we can explore together if this is the right fit for you.

The space

Therapy sessions take place in a dedicated therapy room in Adel, north Leeds. It's a calm, private space overlooking a garden, with its own entrance and bathroom.

The area is safe and quiet, with on-street parking nearby and a bus stop two minutes away with regular services into the city centre.

I also offer sessions online via video call if you'd prefer.

How it works

01: Get in touch

Send me an email or complete the form below. We'll arrange a free 20-minute phone or video consultation so you can get a sense of how I work and ask any questions you have. There's no commitment in doing this.

02: First session

If the consultation feels right, we'll book a first 50-minute session. This is a chance to talk about what's brought you to therapy and what you're hoping to get from it. We'll go at your pace.

03: Ongoing work

Most people find a regular weekly slot works best, but we'll figure out together what suits you. There's no fixed number of sessions - some people come for a few months, others for longer.
